Undeclared interest

The communications and hitech worlds are so malign now – the truth so ethereally difficult to lasso – that everyone tends to get shoved into the same pigeon hole as (variously) fearmonger, hate spreader, non-violent extremist, Remainer, Leaver, goldbug, fascist and all the rest of the twisted linguistics that tell us we shall be crashing out, or sailing forth in fine weather.

Far from lessening the ageless (and probably insoluble) problem of bigotry and stereotyping, the destruction of Truth via instant comms technology has added to it. You can smear anyone and anything today, but the chances of it being revealed as perniciously mendacious are hugely outnumbered by the hordes of deadheads out there who will tweet, email, bookface, brief, leak, message, Gram instantly and YouTube to turn a jet black lie into an angelically white beacon of light.

Up is indeed down, out is in, left…

Why Corbyn (BREXIT) so terrifies the Guardian (UK and EU Metropolitan Elites)& The Lord Chancellors Let Himself Go

Periodically, usually every 12-18 months I find that my reading and research loop back to a common point, All roads lead back to a central direction or a common vector.

Why Corbyn (BREXIT) so terrifies the Guardian (UK and EU Metropolitan Elites)

Political developments in Britain appear more than a little confusing at the moment.

The parliament is in open revolt against a referendum decision with more voters for something than ever before, That is Brexit.  Most MPs  have worked tirelessly to undermine Brexit from the moment the suprise result was declared, never giving Brexit  a chance to prove whether it could work, the assumption is that There is no ALternative (TINA) to the Liberalisation and federalisation of a RUles Based European Order.

Straight cut and paste here click for source.

Strangely, a way to understand these developments may have been provided by a scientific philosopher named Thomas Kuhn. Back in the 1960s he wrote an influential book called the Structure of Scientific Revolutions. His argument was that scientific thought did not evolve in a linear fashion, as scientific knowledge increased. Rather, modern human history had been marked by a series of forceful disruptions in scientific thought that he termed “paradigm shifts”. One minute a paradigm like Newtonian mechanics dominated, the next an entirely different model, like quantum mechanics, took its place – seemingly arriving as if out of nowhere.

Importantly, a shift, or revolution, was not related to the moment when the previous scientific theory was discredited by the mounting evidence against it. There was a lag, usually a long delay, between the evidence showing the new theory was a better “fit” and the old theory being discarded.

The reason, Kuhn concluded, was because of an emotional and intellectual inertia in the scientific community. Too many people – academics, research institutions, funding bodies, pundits – were invested in the established theory. As students, it was what they had grown up “knowing”. Leading professors in the field had made their reputations advancing and “proving” the theory. Vast sums had been expended in trying to confirm the theory. University departments were set up on the basis that the theory was correct. Too many people had too much to lose to admit they were wrong.

A paradigm shift typically ocurred, Kuhn argued, when a new generation of scholars and researchers exposed to the rival theory felt sufficiently frustrated by this inertia and had reached sufficiently senior posts that they could launch an assault on the old theory. At that point, the proponents of the traditional theory faced a crisis. The scientific establishment would resist, often aggressively, but at some point the fortifications protecting the old theory would crumble and collapse. Then suddenly almost everyone would switch to the new theory, treating the old theory as if it were some relic of the dark ages.

Science and politics are, of course, not precisely analogous. Nonetheless, I would suggest this is a useful way of understanding what we see happening to the British left at the moment. A younger generation no longer accepts the assumptions of neoliberalism that have guided and enriched an elite for nearly four decades.

Ideas of endless economic growth, inexhaustible oil, and an infinitely adaptable planet no longer make sense to a generation looking to its future rather than glorying in its past. They see an elite with two heads, creating an illusion of choice but enforcing strict conformity. On the fundamentals of economic and foreign policy, the Red Tories are little different from the Blue Tories.”

Are we going around in ever decreasing circles?

Zone to Defend

One of the many structures that have been built on roads crossing through Notre-Dame-des-Landes ZAD. This one serves as a lookout tower in preparation of evictions by police.

The expression Zone to Defend or ZAD (French: zone à défendre) is a French neologism used to refer to a militant occupation that is intended to physically blockade a development project. The ZADs are organized particularly in areas with an ecological or agricultural dimension,[1] notably in the permanent blockade village against an airport in Notre-Dame-des-Landes. However the name has also been used by occupations in urban areas, e.g.: in Rouen,[2] in Décines-Charpieu.[3] One of the movement’s first slogans was “ZADs everywhere” and though there are no official figures, in early 2016 there were estimated to have been between 10 and 15 ZADs across France.[4]

For the best part of ten weeks now, the Prime Minister Theresa May has been saying one thing with tedious regularity every single time she turned up at Westminster: there is my Deal, or there is No Deal.

The message was clear. But then it became equally clear…

Back in 2010 I wrote this song and posted a link in the video to a google document with a bunch of links of stuff I was reading and watching at the time.

Heres what I wrote in the video description.

Published on 21 Nov 2010

This is a stream of consciousness that I just recorded, completely improvised words and music inspired by a lot of things that have happened in my own life in the past several years and I have seen happening across the world. It’s about the elite global business hegemony the aspirations pedalled through the paparazzi and in the media the resultant debt and economic slavery which has become the common experience of the vast majority of ordinary working people from all walks of life.

Published on 27 Apr 2011… Always cite your sources here’s a few. On Line DOcument with links to reading and Video SOurce information.… A conversation about Money and Debt. I subscribe to an online blog that regularly sends Market analysis and I find the information really quite helpful to try to make sense of what is currently happening in our Economy and why. I personally believe that the current situation is worse than in 2007/2008 as the Central Banks *( Which are essentially controlled privately ( certainly the Fed) are allowing the concentration of more power into a smaller number of huge Global Banking Brands, we are asked to believe that stronger regulation and a stricter enforcement of liquidity ( Reserves(shareholder capital) to Issue of Debt money, will prevent what happened in 2007/2008. This is an over-optimistic view which remarkably the Banks seem to be selling to our Governments. I am supporting an organisation called they are seeking reform of fractional reserve banking. One thing that is certain is that the 3% longterm compound growth required to keep the money supply growth to support the debt money system is impossible to support indefinitely. With stormy water ahead where economies have met their Debt ceilings the so-called PIIGS. the UK and its current Austerity measures will I believe make Margaret Thatchers early 1980’s decimation of UK manufacturing look like afternoon tea with the Bishop. This time around there are no Unions to Blame, No Arthur Scargill only what is left of the Welfare State. The attached Analysis points to a current overvaluation in the Stockmarket another Bubble just as another tech bubble looks like it is getting going as well. Real incomes are severely squeezed and aggregate demand in the real economy is very very weak. Globalisation is doing similar damage to the UK economy that the Elitism of the Premier League football has done to the National Football team it is destroying our grassroots economy which is the tax base of the economy. I think that Positive is the best thing I have come across as a vehicle to try to get some sovereign interests recognised again in British Economic policy and wanted to ask you to take a look at their message and start a discussion about these really important matters by helping each other and our wider circle of family and friends to identify and understand the importance of these issues we might be able to limit the amount of damage the coalition seem compelled toward committing on our National interests as expressed from the viewpoint of the greater majority of the population.

Deal or No Deal, May Phones a Freind.WTF? Is WTO the only Game in Town?

So there we all were playing deal or no deal with an in-out referendum and Mrs May and the Majority of the Metropolitan Elitist UK Parliament decided we were playing Who wants to be a European.
The Rules of Deal or no deal are different to Who wants to be a European, regardless Mrs May felt able to Phone a friend in Belgium which calls Deal or no Deal a Hunt for Billions ( 35 Billion to be precise) Mr Macron predictably as an officianado of The French version, À prendre ou à laisser (Take it or leave it) Shrugged and cried yes, a chance for audience participation here, after me. “Take it or Leave it”. Mrs Merkel, Die Chance deines Lebens, (more like not on your life!)
What do you get for a Pair?

The Italians who have their own beef with the Endemol ( sorry EU, Franchise) Affari tuoi (pronounced [afˈfaːri ˈtwɔi]; English: “Your Business”) Said well That’s your Business!
Indeed it is the Business of the British people where essentially there are only two boxes on the Table. In or out, Leave or Stay, Yes or No.

If we were playing Who wants to be a European, phone a friend and all, there are of course lots of questions and multiple choice questions at that, but we are not. The EU is not for turning and has remained on its destructive Centralised Federal Soviet course and doubled down on it to boot. EU Military Unification, The EURO currency, really all the things which were warned about in the original Referendum Party Party political Broadcast of 1997.

Just some background on Deal or No Deal.

Deal or No Deal is a British game show which was hosted by Noel Edmonds, based on the format which originated in the Netherlands that ran from 2005 to 2016. The show featured a single contestant trying to beat the Banker as they open 22 identical sealed red boxes assigned to potential contestants in an order of their choosing. The boxes contain randomly assigned sums of money inside ranging from 1p to £250,000. The day’s contestant is selected at the beginning, bringing their box to the chair. As the boxes are opened over a number of rounds, the Banker makes offers of real money to gain possession of their box.

Miljoenenjacht (English: Hunt for MillionsDutch pronunciation: [mɪlˈjunə(n)jɑxt]), officially Postcode Loterij Miljoenenjacht, is a Dutch game show,

selection_163Originally based on the German game show “Die Chance deines Lebens“, the format of the programme’s final round used since 2002 has been exported worldwide by Dutch producer Endemol under the title Deal or No Deal, a title also used for Miljoenenjacht’s lower-stakes sister spinoff on RTL 5, which is based more off the global format and removes the additional elements.

Affari tuoi (pronounced [afˈfaːri ˈtwɔi]; English: “Your Business”) is an Italian game show based upon the internationally popular game show Deal or No Deal.

Le Banquier (English: The Banker) is the Quebec adaptation of the international game show Deal or No Deal. It debuted on January 24, 2007

Miljoenenjacht (Dutch pronunciation: [mɪlˈjunə(n)jɑxt]; English: Hunt for Millions) is the Belgian version of Deal or No Deal. It aired on VTM, debuting on October 16, 2004

Offer Button[edit]

Starting 29 September 2014, a new gameplay element, the “Offer Button” was added. The button, situated on the contestant’s desk, may only be used one time during the contestant’s game. When it is pressed, the Banker must make an offer at that point, regardless of how many boxes have been opened at that stage.

The Offer Button becomes available after the opening five boxes are selected. To be able to make use of it during their game, the contestant must correctly guess, within a margin of 10%, the banker’s opening offer. The Banker’s offer is written and sealed in a capsule and sent to the studio before the contestant guesses the amount.[7] On special themed shows, the contestant additionally wins a holiday if the offer within the band is correct but sometimes if the offer within the band is incorrect on the second attempt the Banker gets to look inside their box.[8]

There’s a crude old pejorative, “You’re all wind and Piss” perhaps a new Game show franchise by the same name can replace the Puppet Shows of Democratainment.

I went to bed last Saturday night with a gentle question coursing through my mind: what the blithering fuck does ‘alternative arrangements’ mean? Sir Graham Brady, the slowly inflating chair of the 1922 Committee that represents Cro-Magnon Tory MPs, wants to see the Irish backstop replaced by what he calls “alternative arrangements to avoid a hard border”. His proposed amendment to the Withdrawal Bill is gaining widespread support in the House, and as of yesterday has the Government’s backing.

But I have yet to see what these alternative arrangements are.

Next year will see the 300th anniversary of the maddest Stock Exchange rush of all time, The South Sea Bubble. People paid good money to buy shares in a company whose mission…
