the beginning to the end of free speech started today
The persecution of Tommy and others is nothing New the roots of it go back to post 9/11 in its current form and the war on terror and various legislation surrounding that event.
As the Internet has developed and as it has become apparent that the Journalistic Stars/correspondents and Anchors are very much challenged by Below the Line commentary and also shoe string citizen Journalism the War of 2 Fake News Began in earnest, this doubling down has happened several times.
The method of Censorship is subtle and effective and is a sort of death of democracy and free speech by a thousand cuts.
Self-censorship is the ultimate Goal, the objective is for we the Farmed Slaves to believe that we are free and to love our overlords in a Globalist Stockholm syndrome.
Bruce Chaltons Books ( Free to downlaod or read on line.
Is anybody safe?
are hands down the best I have read, I disagree personally with a number of Bruce’s conclusions and I am Optimistic and he Pessimistic but his diagnosis is I think as close to being on target as it is possible to be.
Some background to Bruce is well worth knowing ,
From 2003 to 2010, Charlton was the solo-editor of the journal Medical Hypotheses, published by Elsevier. After HIV/AIDS denier Peter Duesberg published a paper in Medical Hypothesis arguing that “there is as yet no proof that HIV causes AIDS”, the journal came under fire for its lack of peer review. The paper was withdrawn from the journal citing concerns over the paper’s quality and “that [it] could potentially be damaging to global public health.” Elsevier consequently revamped the journal to introduce peer review, firing Charlton from his position as editor, due to his resistance of these changes.
At October 2012, a worldwide campaign including 198 researchers published a critical paper defending Bruce G. Charlton and the idea of editorial review.
Prof. Charlton is a rare Brilliant Man who is prepared, to tell the truth against his own financial interests.
To with this excellent Corbett Report on the Crisis in Science.
The techniques of shutting down dissent are not dis-similar for science ., or any discourse, in fact the technique of marginalisation is actually ubiquitous
The whole picture is no so much a Rabbit Hole Gordie as a Warren and a labyrinthine one at that.
Ariadne Gifted a Ball of string to Theseus
Minos and Theseus
Since ancient Greek myths are passed down through oral tradition, many variations of this and other myths exist. According to an Athenian version of the legend, Minos attacked Athens after his son was killed there. The Athenians asked for terms, and were required to sacrifice seven young men and seven maidens to the Minotaur every seven or nine years. One year, the sacrificial party included Theseus, the son of King Aegeus, who volunteered to come and kill the Minotaur. Ariadne fell in love at first sight, and helped him by giving him a sword and a ball of thread (μίτο της Αριάδνης ‘Ariadne’s thread’), so that he could find his way out of the Minotaur’s labyrinth.
We are all bound together by the same ball of string as Tommy sometimes it feels as if we are in a tug of war with those who are seeking the same ends as ourselves although with seemingly different Means and ends.
I guess as I have gone down this rhetorical and metaphorical avenue a little of the Delphic Oracle might be a good way of leaving that previously stated thought to develop.
Bland consensus is a bad thing. But utilitarian consensus would be vastly preferable to the opposing armed camps of ideological nonsense we see before us today.
I do not consider myself to be a progressive. In the eyes of progressives, that statement renders me a scumfascistbigotracisthardrighter. Which kind of goes to show that not many progressives know (let alone think about) what progress is.
I do not consider the word ‘progressive’ to be anything other than retrogressive thinking. It is arrogant, totalitarian, and on the same level of fascist incoherence as ‘politically correct’. The assumption of all those who favour such terms is they know what’s best….and anyone who argues is [insert insult of choice here].
Etymologically, it is hard to argue with that observation. And yet, it has been the most defining feature of the infantile foot-stamping that has gone on in Britain from disgruntled Remainers since 2016.
